What Is an Exit Bath, and Is It Worth Adding to Daycare?

Petssible journal

A full day of daycare play can leave a dog happy and tired — and not always smelling or looking its best by pickup time. An exit bath is one way to send your dog home a little fresher.

What an exit bath adds to a daycare day

An exit bath is a bath added onto the end of a daycare visit, so your dog goes home clean instead of coming straight from a day of play. It can be worth considering if your dog tends to get dirty easily, has a lighter coat that shows dirt, or if you have plans right after pickup and would rather not deal with a bath at home first.

How to add one to your dog's visit

An exit bath isn't automatically included with every daycare visit, so call ahead when booking to ask about adding one. The team can let you know about timing and availability for the day you have in mind. If your dog needs more than a quick rinse, ask about a full bath & brush visit instead, which covers a more thorough wash, dry, and brush-out.

Petssible offers dog daycare in El Paso, with an exit bath available on request. Call or send a request when you're ready to book.
